Bay Walk Bollards, Australia
As a company, Fielder Green Associates is always looking for products that appeal to all ages and interests. What can unite a leather clad Hell’s Angel, a young woman in her 20’s and a little girl of 8 years? The Bay Walk Bollards.
In Australia, this inspirational project created by Australian artist Jan Mitchell, of 112 carved and painted figures (bollards), along the waterfront of Geelong City, united these three people, as they were embracing the bollards, having their photographs taken by their respective partners and mother.
We created a guidebook that interpreted all of the figures and were engaged by a local authority in the UK to undertake a 14 month feasibility study, in association with the artist, to create a similar project.
